The Gila River
It runs north and south here, just to the west of nearby Bill Evans lake.
The Gila National Forest management has set aside a bird habitat starting just below Bill Evans lake and extending to the forest's border near Red Rock, NM.
Know species there are:Black-throated Gray Warbler, Breeding Willow Flycatcher, Brown-crested Flycatcher, Common Black-hawk, Gambel's Quail, Hooded Oriole, Scott's Oriole, Lucy's Warbler, Peregrine Falcon, Pinyon Jay, Bell's Vireo, Plumbeus Vireo, Summer Tananger, Townsend's Solitare, Wild Turkey and Yellow-billed Cuckoo.
